About Visiting Iceland
Who we are
Visiting Iceland is an Icelandic company in Kópavogur, ten minutes from the centre of Reykjavík. We are not a tour operator and we do not pretend to be one. What we do is choose the people who run the trips, put their experiences in one place, and help you pick the right one.
How we choose our partners
Every operator on this site is here because we asked them to be. We look for three things: real local knowledge of the ground they cover, service that is thoughtful when a plan changes, and experiences that are worth making time for on a short visit. Six operators meet that bar today. The number will grow slowly, on purpose.
On every partner we say why they are here. On the trips we would book ourselves we say why we selected them, who they suit, and what to know before you pay.
What booking here means
The price is the operator's own, with nothing added. Your booking goes straight into their system, and the people who run your day are the people who confirm it. If something needs sorting out with an operator, we take it up with them for you.
