Private Blue Lagoon transfers, and when they are worth it

Guide Prices from the operators’ own booking systems

One way or with a driver who waits, from the airport or from Reykjavík, and when a private car is worth paying for.

The Blue Lagoon is on the Reykjanes peninsula, close to Keflavík Airport, which is why so many people go on the day they land or the day they leave. IceTransfer put the drive at 20 to 30 minutes from the airport and 45 to 60 minutes from Reykjavík.

Admission is not part of any transfer here. Book your time at the lagoon first, then the car.

Is a private transfer worth it?

For one or two travellers with light bags, a scheduled bus is usually the cheaper way. A private car pays off when there are three or more of you, when you are carrying all your luggage between the airport and your hotel, or when your flight time leaves no room for a bus timetable. IceTransfer’s car from the airport is 12.346 ISK per booking, which comes to 3.087 ISK each for four.

On the way, or with a driver who waits

IceTransfer’s four-hour trips take in the lagoon between the airport and your hotel, in either direction. On Icelimo’s round trips the driver stays on site while you bathe, three hours at the lagoon or five at the Retreat Spa, and takes you back when you are ready.
