The Golden Circle as a private tour

Guide Prices from the operators’ own booking systems

Your own car, a driver who guides, and a day that runs to your timing.

The Golden Circle is the loop most first visits make: Þingvellir, where the North American and Eurasian plates pull apart, the Geysir geothermal area, where Strokkur erupts every few minutes, and Gullfoss, a waterfall that falls in two steps.

Coach tours run it every day. A private tour costs more per person than a seat on a coach, and buys you the car, a driver who guides, and a day that runs to your own timing.

IceTransfer’s day adds Brúarfoss, the Brúarhlöð canyon and the Kerið crater to the three classic stops, with a stop at a family-run dairy farm. Lunch and Kerið’s entrance fee are extra.

Icelimo’s driver-guides can add a stop at the Friðheimar tomato greenhouse. Their cars carry rain jackets, bottled water and crampons for winter walking. Lunch is extra on every tour here, and your guide will suggest places along the way.
