Skemmtigarðurinn is an activity park on Gufunesvegur, in the Grafarvogur district of Reykjavík. It does two things: courses you play at your own pace, and games its own staff run for your group.
The courses are an 18-hole pirate-themed minigolf, with obstacle bridges and a whale between you and the treasure chest, and a 12-hole football golf course, where up to eight people play each hole and the round takes about 75 minutes. On either one you may play as many rounds as you like, and 500 kr more buys unlimited rounds on the other course too.

Games for groups
Archery tag, outdoor laser tag and paintball are team games. Laser tag and paintball are each played on three themed fields, and archery tag on a field of big soft walls to take cover behind. For laser tag, the park’s group leaders split your party into teams, set up the games and stay with you from start to finish.
Bumper balls and team-building games are chosen around who is in your group. The pub quiz is played on tablets, at the park or brought to you, and the challenge game runs on your own phones anywhere in the country.
The group games are priced per person with a minimum: six people for most, fifteen for the pub quiz. The price on each card is one person’s share.
Before you go
Food and drink from outside are not allowed in the park, but refreshments are sold on site.
For paintball, bring photo ID. Anyone under 18 needs written permission from a parent or guardian, on a form the park provides. Wear good outdoor shoes and dress for the weather.
Free cancellation up to 3 days before the session. Inside that, the operator charges the full price.
Questions
Is Skemmtigarðurinn good for families?
Yes. Football golf suits all ages, in the park’s own words, and archery tag and paintball are pitched at families as well as friends, hen and stag parties and company groups. Under-18s need a parent’s written permission for paintball.
How long does football golf take?
About 75 minutes for the 12 holes, and up to eight people can play each hole together.
What is the minimum group size?
Six people for most of the group games, and fifteen for the pub quiz. The price shown is per person.
Can we bring our own food?
No. Outside food and drink are not allowed in the park, but refreshments are sold there.
